The “Acapulco” in Çatalköy has a water park with 24 slides and a kids club for ages 4-12. A few kilometres away at “Cratos Premium” the club age band is the same, yet that hotel has never published its slide count. That is why we suggest a family choosing among Cyprus water park hotels look at two key things first: the age band the club accepts and the scale of the slides. Together, the two tell you more than the hotel's name does. Water parks generally operate from May to October and do not run in winter. The only property that announces its opening and closing with exact dates is Salamis Bay Conti.
The Scale Gap in Çatalköy
At Acapulco Resort, 18 of the 24 slides are adult-sized and 6 are child-sized. The same property also has two children's pools, one outdoor and one indoor, a mini club for ages 4-12 and an evening mini disco.
Next door, “Elexus” has a water park that looks small beside it, because the slides are built for the younger age group and run in two daily sessions: 10.00-12.00 and 14.00-16.00. The 24-slide figure that circulates for Elexus actually belongs to its neighbour; the two hotels are in no way the same scale. The hotel's real difference is on the club side, and it is hidden below age four. Those children can enter the club as long as a parent stays with them, and units like the Liliput Houses were built for them. The club hours are long too: 10.00-23.00. Since 15 May 2026 the hotel has run full all-inclusive in all rooms.
Back to Cratos Premium: it does have a water park, but again the slide count is not published. The club information, by contrast, is clear: the Cratoys Mini Club covers ages 4-12, runs free of charge from 08.30 to 23.30, and does not take children under four. That leaves the outdoor children's pool for that age group. The 180-square-metre pool has an average depth of no more than 40 centimetres, so it is sized for a child not yet old enough for the club.
Bafra's Age-Banded Clubs
At “Limak Cyprus Deluxe” the club is split in three. The 4-8 mini club runs year-round, while the 8-12 junior club and the 12-16 teenager club open only in summer. So what does the nine-year-old of a family visiting in winter do? They go without a club, because that band is closed in winter. On the water park side there are 7 slides, which the hotel promotes as a first in the TRNC (North Cyprus).
Kaya Artemis has a kids club with a standard routine — activities for the 4-12 age group and a mini disco at 20.45 meet expectations. The real surprise, we would say, is in the water park. Families focused only on slide counts may miss this place's potential. The hotel focuses on distance rather than quantity, with a 130-metre rafting slide, a 73-metre body slide and a 39-metre free-fall slide.
Concorde Luxury Resort breaks the mould and presents its water park as an extension of the kids club. The Moppet Kids Club here has its own pool, restaurant, cinema and amphitheatre. The biggest comfort for parents is that staff look after the children until 23.00 at night, plus the kids disco held every evening…
The water park at “Noah's Ark Deluxe” is a large-scale area with separate children's and adult sections — however, this hotel does not publish its slide count either. At all four Bafra resorts the concept is all-inclusive, and each one runs its casino in a separate section.
Long Club Hours West of Kyrenia
Are there slides at “Merit Park”? The hotel has no water park of its own; a free shuttle runs to a nearby theme park, and the beach shuttle works the same way. The club side, by contrast, is well stocked: there is a children's pool reserved for under-sixes, the free Meritta Club covers ages 4-12, and a sub-group called Minies has been set up for ages 4-6. That is why Merit Park's place on the list of Cyprus water park hotels is on the club side, not the slide side.
At “Merit Crystal Cove” in Alsancak the water park is small-scale: spiral slides, a mini park and a wave pool. Here too the real difference is in the club: two separate sections operate, for ages 0-3 and 4-12, open seven days a week from 09.00 until midnight. For a family with a baby, that first section is the deciding factor. The area has closed-circuit cameras, a nappy-changing room and a nursing room, and the children's pool is of course free.
At “Lord's Palace” in central Kyrenia, Kids Planet takes every child aged 0-12 free of charge, with hours of 08.30-23.30. Instead of a water park there is an outdoor children's pool with slides and a pool bar. That pool, however, is seasonal, and the hotel does not state which months it closes. For winter visitors the third pool is what matters: alongside the outdoor children's pool, an indoor heated pool is also listed.
The Only Property with Published Season Dates
Salamis Bay Conti opens its water park on 1 May and closes it on 31 October; the 900-square-metre area has 6 slides, four adult-sized and two child-sized. This precision is the exception: the other resorts operate between May and October but do not announce exact months. A family heading to Bafra or Kyrenia in early November may therefore find the slides closed and needs to ask each property individually. What is more, the water park section can close earlier even while the hotel's main season is still running. It is worth checking your travel week with the hotel before buying tickets.
An indoor heated pool staying open in winter in no way means the slides are running too. At “Arkın Palm Beach” in the same region the question never arises, because there is neither a water park nor a kids club; instead it offers a children's pool and babysitting on request, and the concept is half board.
Beyond the Hotels: Caesar Blue
“Caesar Blue” in the Boğaz area of Iskele is not attached to any hotel; it is a stand-alone water park. It is a day-trip option for a family staying at a hotel without a water park or in an apartment around Long Beach. On a price list dated July 2026, adult entry is 2,300 TL, children aged 3-12 pay 2,100 TL, and under-threes go free. The child ticket is only 200 TL cheaper than the adult one, so the discount barely changes the maths. The figure rests on a single list; it is worth asking the operator for current prices and hours, and the season is not announced anyway.

A family wanting a babysitter pays an extra fee at Cratos, Merit Park, Elexus and Salamis Bay Conti; Arkın Palm Beach offers one too, but the fee is not published. Most of the big resorts have family rooms or connecting-room options. They have them — but they are not guaranteed; the room type should be confirmed in writing at the booking stage.
There are also two ages that are often confused. The free-entry age on a day ticket and the age up to which a child stays free on an overnight booking are absolutely not the same thing, because the first is a matter for the water park ticket desk and the second for the hotel's booking policy. The same confusion carries over to day entry itself. Some Cyprus water park hotels admit outside visitors, Acapulco and the Limak and Concorde in Bafra among them. The pricing model can vary by property, so get the figure directly from the operator.
