Limak Cyprus Deluxe Hotel (Bafra)

In Bafra, this hotel keeps its doors shut for half the year, so the first thing to check is the calendar. The 2026 sales season starts on 19 March and closes on 31 October, meaning what stops a guest who wants to come in February isn't the price, it's the date. The property behind that tight calendar, Limak Cyprus Deluxe Hotel, opened on 5 July 2018 and runs 598 rooms in the Bafra Tourism Zone as the group's only hotel outside Turkey. It's 65 kilometres from Ercan, roughly an hour in average traffic, so the drive after leaving the airport is a long one. We went through the season, the rooms, the kids' club and the items that fall outside the package one by one; here they are in order.

The Season Opens on 19 March

In the standard sales season of 19 March - 31 October 2026, check-in is at 15.00 and check-out at 11.00. Whenever I've landed on the island on an early morning flight, leaving the suitcases in the lobby and heading straight to the beach while waiting for the room has always been the most practical solution for me. Although the property goes quiet between November and March, the good news is that it doesn't lock its doors completely. They held a well-attended gala for New Year's Eve 2025-26, and while there's no official announcement yet about the 2026-27 winter, if you have a plan for the winter period I'd recommend confirming the current opening schedule directly with the hotel.

598 Rooms in Bafra

The property on the Iskele side (Bafra Tourism Zone No:6) is a spacious complex spreading towards the shore rather than a soulless block of concrete. There are 598 rooms, but the real commotion is in how those rooms are divided up.

On paper they say a standard room "fits three adults", but that's a stretch; if you don't want to play Tetris inside, stay away. If you're a party of four, skip the adventure altogether and grab the family room, which is one and a half times the size of a standard. Squeezing a family of five into a single room is a fantasy anyway, so do your sums on two rooms from the start so your wallet doesn't get burned later.

Then there are the "Luxury Suite" and "Superior Room", whose square metres are kept like a secret on the website. Don't fall for the fancy names and dive in headfirst; when booking, be sure to ask "exactly how many square metres is this?" so there's no surprise at the door…

What Kind of Beach Is the Sandy Beach?

There's a wonderful sandy beach where you can get up from your sunbed and be in the water in two steps. The sea doesn't go over your head right away; it deepens gradually, so families who wear themselves out chasing the little ones can breathe easy here... In addition to the outdoor pools, they've also got an indoor pool. The children's area being completely separate from the adults' is a real advantage, meaning the noise and racket don't get mixed up together.

But the picture changes at the edges of the season. If you come in early April everything is sparkling and open, while towards the end of October, as the hotel prepares for hibernation, some of the pools get switched off. To avoid a last-minute upset, confirming "what's open right now?" before booking is a must. In short, water here isn't a mere "extra", it's the main menu. You're guaranteed to spend the whole day shuttling between the pool and the beach.

Seven Slides, Three Clubs

The water park has seven slides, and that number matches across three separate sources including the official page. The hotel promotes it as a first in the TRNC, though that claim comes from the hotel's own marketing copy. On the land side, the kids' club is split into three age groups. The Mini Club takes ages four to eight year-round. The Junior and Teenagers Club operate only in summer. For a child over eight, whether the club door is open depends on the season. For a family shifting its holiday to after September, that has a concrete consequence. At that time there's no club left for the older child; what remains is the Mini Club and the pool, and the parents put together the evening programme. Ask about the clubs' summer enrolment as much as you ask about the water park.

The Limra Buffet and Dinner Reservations

The main restaurant, "Limra", runs as an open buffet. Breakfast is 07.00-11.00, lunch 12.30-14.30 and dinner 18.30-21.00, with a late-night snack running from 23.00 to 02.00. In the evenings the buffet is joined by three a la carte restaurants: Arcadia serves Italian cuisine, Dynasty Far Eastern cuisine, and Mysia ocakbasi grill and Turkish cuisine. All three operate between 19.00 and 21.30 and by reservation, so the evening plan is made during the day; guests who don't book a table in the morning end up back at the buffet most evenings. A small note: the name Limra brings to mind a Limak hotel in Antalya, but here it's simply the name of a restaurant. The same crowd logic shows up at the bars, with five bars spread across different points of the property: Bellapais Lobby, Beach Lounge, Atlantis Snack, Lara Pool and Barnabas. That's presumably how the evening crowd gets distributed in a 598-room place. Dinner here doesn't just happen on its own; the guest who makes a phone call during the day and the one who doesn't aren't sitting at the same table.

Outside the Package and the Nightly Rate

The hammam, sauna and gym in the spa section are free, but the moment you want a massage or a skin treatment, the "ultra all-inclusive" fairy tale ends instantly. The same illusion breaks the other way round at the casino too. To enter the casino, which is kept separate from the main building, the classic Cyprus rule applies (one we've mentioned often in previous articles): you must be 25 or over and not a resident of the island. The moment you sit down at a table, you're outside the hotel package.

As for prices, they hit the wallet hard. As of August-September 2026, five-star hotels in Bafra run between 18,200 and 26,325 TL per night, and that figure isn't specific to Limak, it's the general market for the area; it can also shoot up instantly depending on the date and occupancy. When doing the maths, don't skip one sneaky item - transport. Getting from Ercan to Bafra by public transport is torture in practice, so you'll inevitably be paying for a transfer or car hire.
