Concorde Luxury Resort & Casino (Bafra)

📍 Bafra Tourism Area, Iskele

Along the Bafra shoreline we see four large hotels standing side by side... All four are right on the beach, and all four sell an ultra all-inclusive package. So when the resorts share the same sand, what measure is left for choosing between them? "Concorde Luxury Resort & Casino" answers that question with its room list, because the catalogue of this 569-room resort also includes a 110 square metre villa category. That square-metre figure actually says something about the resort's founding philosophy too, because before the 2018 opening it was announced that 150 million dollars (yes, a big number for the purchasing power of the day) had been spent here. Step out into the garden and you more or less start to see where that money went... The difference from the neighbouring resorts is felt at two points in particular: "the sheer amount of space" and "the section set aside for children." Let's go through the details.

Among the Four Hotels of Bafra

Bafra is a tourism zone planned from scratch, far from the urban fabric of Kyrenia and Famagusta - so there is no bazaar where you can dream of heading out for an evening stroll... The hotel sits in the middle of a large garden that runs all the way down to the shore, at the zone's Parcel 12 address. A guest stepping out of their room in the morning walks straight onto the sand. Anyone coming from Ercan Airport should allow between forty-five minutes and an hour. The road is long, but "empty". Four hotels use the same beach, yet their names differ. And this is exactly where the confusion starts, because the same group has a "Concorde De Luxe Resort" in Antalya and a "Concorde Tower" in Kyrenia. What we cover here does not concern those two hotels. When you come across the same name while booking, it is worth looking closely at the city field; that few-second check can save you from booking the wrong hotel.

Villa or a Large Deluxe? Which Should You Choose?

The breadth of the room list is not a show of vanity here; it is the very idea the resort was built on. Sea-view and partial-sea-view deluxe rooms sit at around forty-five square metres, so even the entry level does not give you a cramped room. The real distinction appears at the top end. The Ultra All Inclusive Villa Room, at 110 square metres, is the largest unit in the resort, and a villa category is not something you find at every hotel on this stretch of coast. The same list also sells "Executive", "Royal" and "Family Suite" tiers. The decision is usually made not by price but by headcount, because the villa opens up a separate living space, and on a holiday for two most of that floor area sits empty. The villa also has its own share of garden in front; the hotel says it brought in two hundred plant species from abroad, so a guest choosing the villa buys an outdoor area along with the square metres.

Strong Beach, Modest Water Park

The beach is the hotel's own; the ground is sand and the sun loungers line up towards the sea, though the hotel does not state its length. On the pool side there are several outdoor pools, a heated indoor pool and a separate children's pool, spread across different corners of the garden. The same garden also has a small water park section with two slides, but since that pool's depth approaches one and a half metres, a child who cannot swim cannot go in there alone. A family looking for a big water park will not find what they are after here; on the other hand, the shallow children's pools comfortably sort out the day for the little ones. So: a wide beach, two slides. The hotel has cast its vote for the sand.

Where Does the Kids' Club Make the Difference?

"Moppet Kids Club" is located apart from the main building, a children's section operating under its own roof, with its own pool, its own restaurant, an amphitheatre and a cinema hall. A club on this scale is not easy to find at Bafra's other hotels, because here the children live their evening programme independently of the hotel's main stage. The doors open in two shifts: 10.00-17.00 in the morning, 19.00-23.00 in the evening. The evening shift running until 23.00 is a small detail on paper. Yet if the child is there until that hour, dinner is eaten without any rush. Guests arriving with small children find, above all, the routine those two shifts create at Concorde Luxury Resort. Since the hotel does not publish a clear upper age band for the club, it is worth asking at registration.

Do You End the Evening at Sanzio, or by the Indoor Pool?

In the main restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served buffet-style, and the hall has no separate name. On the a la carte side two names are clear: the Italian "Sanzio" and the Steak House. On the bar side there are outlets operating under the names Lobbybar, Tropic Bar, Oasis Bar and Pier Bar; having separate bars on the pier and in the garden shortens the evening's walking distance. "Sentire SPA" offers massage, a Turkish bath and a steam room; treatments fall outside the package and are paid for separately. The casino is in the same resort but operates through a separate entrance, and the rule is strict: guests under 25 and residents of the TRNC are not admitted to this section under any circumstances.

What Does Staying Open in Winter Change?

In our earlier articles we mentioned that some hotels close for the winter, but the good news is that the same does not apply here... The hotel does not close in winter; in recent years, on the night of "31 December 2025", a New Year's Eve gala was even held here. The one thing that does not change is the concept: since 2018 it has been Ultra All Inclusive... The package covers three main meals, daytime snacks and the drinks the hotel specifies, while a la carte restaurants, spa treatments and the casino tables remain outside its scope. The word Convention in its name is not there for nothing either, because the ballroom hosts concerts and corporate events throughout the year.

The indoor pool goes into maintenance only between 1 and 30 August, so a guest who shifts their season into winter is not greeted by an empty pool. One detail enters the calculation only for those coming for a concert: for some concerts, guests staying longer than three nights are asked for an extra fee. As for guest ratings, in our team's research it stands at 4.6 on "Tripadvisor". (This does not necessarily determine quality, but it is fair to say it is a major factor, and in a four-hotel zone that is a good score.) At Concorde Luxury Resort the nightly rate moves with the room type and the search date, and two different agencies can come up with completely different offers for the same night. The decision really comes down to two paths: either you have the 110 square metre villa written into your booking note, or you settle for the forty-five square metre deluxe and leave the money for the day you spend on the beach.
