For anyone choosing a casino hotel in Kyrenia (Girne), it's not exactly the hotel's name but its location that shapes the evening. At the four hotels around the ancient harbour, the gaming floor can be in the same building as your room or within a few minutes' walk. At the resorts along the coastal strip stretching from Alsancak to Çatalköy, the casino is inside the property, but the property is outside the city. Getting into the centre in the evening requires a car or a shuttle. That's why the Kyrenia casino map splits into two types.
Central Hotels Within Walking Distance of the Harbour
“Rocks Hotel & Casino” and “Les Ambassadeurs Hotel Casino & Marina” are two central hotels a short walk from the ancient harbour. Rocks has 155 rooms and is roughly 60 kilometres from Ercan. The only published fact about its casino is that the floor has been renovated. Les Ambassadeurs overlooks the harbour, is a five-minute drive from Kyrenia Castle, and its restaurant is called Louis Thirteen. How many tables do these two floors hold? Neither publishes a number — the listings only use the adjective "spacious". Elsewhere, The Arkın Colony Hotel & Casino sits right in the heart of the city. Table games and slot machines run on the same floor, with live music and cinema nights on the terrace. In summer 2026 the hotel's beach arrangement is with Altınkoy — Golden Bay — in Alsancak. Its shuttle service, meanwhile, appears among the paid items in the listings.
Grand Pasha Kyrenia Hotel & Casino has 128 rooms, with the casino and spa under the same roof. According to the data it appears first among Kyrenia's 42 hotels in Tripadvisor's 2026 ranking, with a score of 4 out of 5; that's a guest score and says nothing about the size of the gaming floor. The hotel's free shuttle goes to the beach — there's no separate route for the city centre or the casino. Since its exact distance to the centre isn't stated in the sources, the walking question remains open for this hotel. What the four hotels share is that the gaming floor sits at the same address as your accommodation; there's no need to leave the property for the evening's programme.
The Resort Belt on Either Side of the Harbour
Driving west from the harbour, the first stop is Kaya Palazzo Resort & Casino in Karaoğlanoğlu: 261 rooms, a 65,000-square-metre property, a casino — but no published floor size. As the road stretches on to Alsancak and Lapta, Merit's four hotels follow one after another: Royal, Royal Diamond, Park and Crystal Cove. Various conflicting figures circulate for Merit Royal's gaming floor. In the absence of an official number, we'll settle here for saying it has a large floor. In terms of evening traffic, this wing is the quiet side of town.
Turning east towards Çatalköy, the density increases. Cratos Premium is a 105,000-square-metre property. For its casino, one source circulates figures of 4,000 square metres, 304 slots, 35 live tables and three VIP rooms, but these numbers come from a single directory and couldn't be confirmed from the hotel's own website. Elexus Hotel Resort & Spa & Casino is built on 277,000 square metres, with a casino area of roughly 7,500 square metres, 26 table games and a separate poker room. Acapulco Resort has been on the same beach since 1982; it was renovated from top to bottom in 2026, and the casino section remains in place.. Over Thirty Poker Tables in Alsancak
Merit Crystal Cove Hotel & Casino in Alsancak is the only property in Kyrenia whose poker table count is known. More than 30 tables run in its poker room; No Limit Texas Hold'em tables open from the 2-5 dollar level, and Pot-Limit Omaha is also played. Tables open at eight in the evening on weekdays, six at weekends. During tournament periods the cash tables run 24 hours, with a free buffet for players. Why do we write the table count as "over thirty"? Because sources give different figures between 30 and 34, and printing a single number would be misleading.
In spring 2026 the big tournament on Kyrenia's casino calendar was played at another Merit hotel: the Merit Poker Classic ran at Merit Royal Diamond from 27 April to 7 May. According to Haber Kıbrıs's report of 28 April, players came from 34 countries, more than 1,200 registrations were expected together with GG Poker's satellite tournaments, and players with their families and guests were projected to bring over 2,500 tourists to the area. Cratos has poker tables too, counted within its 35-table total alongside sports betting; but no named tournament series like Merit's has been announced. The only thing known about Elexus's poker room is that Texas Hold'em is played there — table counts and a tournament calendar aren't published.

Hotel shuttles are assumed to be a free service in Kyrenia, yet both verifiable examples show the opposite.. Lord's Palace runs its own city shuttle at set hours of the day and for a fee. The Colony's shuttle also appears among the paid items in the listings. Grand Pasha's free route only goes to the beach. Do you pay to get in? No entry fee is charged at the door — that's the same at every casino in the TRNC (North Cyprus). Most Kyrenia casino hotels don't publish their shuttle arrangements on their websites; that information gets pinned down during booking.
As we've mentioned before, the age limit at the door is 25 and ID is absolutely required; students enrolled in the TRNC and residents of the island aren't admitted. There's no written dress code, but anyone arriving in shorts and flip-flops won't get in — the expected standard is smart casual. Table minimums vary by property and by day: in roulette, the smaller floors see 1-2 dollar levels midweek, rising to the 10-25 dollar band at weekends in the Merit and Cratos class, while blackjack ranges from 10 dollars to 25-50.
